TRATAX e-Alert; Budget 2026
No new taxes – confirms Malaysia’s National Budget for 2026 tabled in the parliament yesterday.
That being said, the tax revenue is projected to grow by 6.7% driven by the realisation of full revenue potential from the measures introduced in stages since 2024, sustained domestic economic activity and additional revenue from RPGT and Stamp Duty.
Measures to spur the economy economy include accelerated capital allowance to encourage businesses to purchase locally manufactured plant & machinery.
